St. Charles County Missouri Democrats

I was born and raised in St. Charles, MO, attended St. Peter's Grade School and Duchesne High School (Class of 73). I have seen many changes in the area, when living on Harvester Road (now First Capitol Dr.) a few blocks south of Dairy Queen and St Charles Lanes this area was considered in the country and Downtown-St. Charles was the main shopping area until Mark Twain Mall went in on Fifth Street. Life has CHANGED and St. Charles County has grown dramatically. I came from a Democratic family: my dad was a Union Sheet Metal Worker and my mom worked as an Election Judge at the polls for as long as I can remember.

I became part of the Central Committee about 6 years ago. My husband was already the Harvester Township Committeeman, so I began attending meetings almost a year before I was actually elected. I have always been somewhat involved in campaigns and concerned about the future of the Democratic Party.  So becoming a member of the Central Committee has allowed me to meet candidates and elected officials to discuss their viewpoints as well as express my own views.

The Harvester Township has Mark Parkinson as State Rep 16th District and John White as County Council District 7.  Our State Senator is Tom Dempsey.
