Isn't the correct and easiest answer to raise the cap on the income that is taxed? If it was increased to $250,000 being taxed, it would have more than enough money to be solvent. Combine that with intelligent payments (like a cap on the payouts for the richest among us) and we really could save social security without fundamentally changing it for people like me barely in their 30s.
