Missouri Budget Project Discussion Lunches

Informal lunch discussions on MO Budget issues

 

My name is Eileen Evans and I hostess the First Wednesday Lunch group. For 5 years we’ve been exchanging ideas and resources for economic, social and political justice. The FIRST WEDNESDAY of every month, the Progressive-leaning get together at lunch time at the Delmonico Diner’s meeting room. No speakers, no agenda, or recruiting - we're just there to swap ideas, news & gossip.
We had questions about the tax initiatives being proposed this year in the legislature and their ramifications.  If you or anyone you know wants to be better informed, the Missouri Budget Project is a nonprofit, public policy analysis organization that provides independent research on complex state policy issues and how they impact all Missourians and can provide information on tax policy measures.
