27th Annual First Capitol Banquet

Robin Carnahan will be our featured speaker at the 27th Annual First Captiol Dinner.  This is the biggest event of the year for Democrats in St. Charles County. You get a full dinner, open bar, statewide Democratic officials, and dancing until 11pm.  All for the low price of $35 per person.  We expect a very large crowd after the great numbers we turned in for the 2008 general election.  The time is now and the tide is turning. Democrats in St. Charles County are fired up and getting ready for the big Senate election in 2010. Come and hear our future Senator and have a good time with friendly Democrats from all over the county.   

Democratic County Councilmember Cheryl Hibbeler Recognized

Saint Charles County Councilmember Cheryl Hibbeler was recognized last week with two awards.  On Thursday Hibbeler recieved the "Spirit of O'Fallon" award.  She was chosen from 10 finalists and recieved a beautifully engraved trophy along with a bag of goodies donated by local businesses.  The award was sponsored by the local HR Block offices, the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce, 97.1 radio and Imo's pizza.  The top ten finalists were treated to a pizza party at the Rendezvous Cafe on Main Street in O'Fallon.  Hibbeler was nominated for the award by Colene McEntee of Community Living.  Said Colleen, "Cheryl has been a volunteer for Community Living for over 25 years and has been ou

UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. — Veronica Cook describes her first venture into politics, registering voters and going door-to-door for Barack Obama's presidential campaign last summer, as a "life-changing experience" that erased her long-held cynicism about the political process.

Once Obama was elected, "I didn't want it to stop," says Cook, 51, of St. Louis. "I wanted to keep working."

Annual Jefferson Jackson Dinner Huge Success

On Saturday, April 18th the annual MO Democratic Party Jefferson Jackson Dinner was held at the Renaissance Hotel in Downtown St. Louis.  The state party held their quarterly meetings for 6 hours earlier in the day and the reception began at 5:30pm.  St. Charles County was well represented at the dinner.  Seen mingling amongst the statewide officials, state reps, senators, party leaders, union and business leaders  from all over the state were:  Central Committee Chair Tommy Roberts, Amanda Kelley, Jim Karll, Matt Simmons, John Scherr, Tim Ryan, Brian Cooke, Larry Laughlin, County Councilwoman Cheryl Hibbeler, Tri-County President Greg Booth and Chris Mayes.

Akin and Luetkemeyer to hold Anti-Obama rally at St. Charles Community College

2nd Dist Akin and 9th Dist Luetkemeyer will be having what can only be termed as their own anti-Obama rally at the St. Charles Community College.  These congressmen need to hear from Democats here who do not subscribe to their methods.  No new ideas, no plans, just the party of NO.  Please RSVP and let's show up to let them know not everyone in their district agrees with them.  Let's be ther to ask the REAL questions that deserve REAL answers.
